Puppy Purchase Agreement
Parties
The Breeder agrees to sell, and the Buyer agrees to purchase, one (1) Dachshund puppy for the price of $750.
Health Guarantee
The Breeder guarantees that the Puppy is in good health at the time of sale and is up-to-date on all vaccinations and deworming. The Breeder provides the following health guarantee:
a. Vet Examination
The Breeder will provide a lifetime health guarantee against congenital defects. The Buyer must take the Puppy to a licensed veterinarian for a checkup within seven (7) days of receiving the Puppy. If the veterinarian finds the Puppy to be ill or have a serious congenital defect, the Breeder will refund the full purchase price, including any shipping costs, upon return of the Puppy.
b. Hypoglycemia
The Breeder guarantees the Puppy against hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) for the lifetime of the Puppy. If the Puppy is diagnosed with hypoglycemia by two (2) licensed veterinarians, the Breeder will replace the Puppy with another of equal value or refund the full purchase price, including any shipping costs, upon return of the Puppy.
c. Communicable Diseases
If the Puppy is diagnosed with a communicable disease within the first fourteen (14) days of the Buyer receiving the Puppy, the Breeder will refund the full purchase price, including any shipping costs, upon return of the Puppy.
d. Vet Examination (Duplicate Clause)
The Buyer must take the Puppy to a licensed veterinarian for a checkup within seven (7) days of receiving the Puppy. If the veterinarian finds the Puppy to be ill or have a serious congenital defect, the Breeder will refund the full purchase price, including any shipping costs, upon return of the Puppy.
Shipping and Pickup
a. Shipping
If the Puppy is to be shipped, the Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. The Puppy will be shipped via a reputable pet transportation service, and the Buyer will be provided with tracking information.
b. Pickup
If the Buyer is picking up the Puppy, a refundable deposit of $500 must be paid at the time of this agreement. This payment is refundable in full if upon pickup, the Buyer does not feel a bond with the Puppy.
Payment
a. Shipping
The full purchase price of the Puppy must be paid before the Puppy is delivered to the Buyer.
b. Pickup
For pickup, a deposit of $500 is required at the time of this agreement. This payment is refundable in full if the Buyer changed their mind about getting the Puppy.
Buyer's Responsibilities
The Buyer agrees to provide the Puppy with proper care, including adequate food, water, shelter, exercise, and veterinary care. The Buyer also agrees to comply with all state and local laws regarding the ownership of a dog.
Entire Agreement
This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties.
